The image

A study in attention.

The remains of a wall at Devín Castle occupy the right edge, close enough for every irregular joint to register. Through its broken outline, the view opens across water, trees, cultivated fields, and a low wooded ridge.

The ruin is both obstruction and vantage point. Where the Wall Opens sets the density of stone against a landscape that continues far beyond it, making absence the source of the view.
