At Devín Castle, the photograph looks upward through a narrow run of worn steps. A dark handrail cuts through the tactile stone, pulling the eye toward bright foliage and the cropped figure waiting above.

Only a tattooed leg is visible, enough to shift the scene from architecture to encounter. The Last Step holds the instant before arrival, when the body is still divided between shadow and open air.
